How WhatFlik works
You half-remember a film, a stray scene, a line of dialogue, a poster you saw years ago. WhatFlik turns that fuzzy memory into a shortlist of the most likely titles, each with a description, ratings, and a poster so you can recognize it on sight.
Describe it, we identify it
Tell us what you remember, the plot, characters, setting, a snatch of dialogue, roughly when you saw it, the language, whether it was animated or live action, and even what it is not. Our matching engine weighs every clue you give against plot, cast, era, genre, and scene details to rank the titles that best fit, then keeps narrowing as you add more.
The more you remember, the sharper the match. Not quite right? Add one more detail and search again, the engine folds it in and re-ranks.
Where the movie data comes from
Titles, release years, genres, cast, and posters are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB) via its official API, and plot summaries are drawn from Wikipedia. Ratings shown on results reflect the scores those sources and the wider web report.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Your uploads stay private
Screenshots you add are used only to identify your title. Large images are compressed in your browser before they ever leave your device, and we keep only derived clues (short text summaries and tags), never your raw files long-term.
